My name is Scott and I\'m from the San Francisco Bay Area. I\'m a student in the College majoring in Political Economy with a planned minor in Business Administration. One of the main draws of Georgetown for me was its location, and it has more than lived up to my expectations. While some of my free time is admittedly filled with Netflix binge sessions and Ben & Jerry\'s, exploring Washington DC has become one of my favorite pastimes as a Hoya. Whether it\'s an impromptu trip to the Newseum, a picnic on the National Mall, or even just a relaxing walk down M Street with your friends, you never know what you might experience in the nation\'s capital! Besides the incredible location, one of my main reasons for choosing Georgetown was the amazing things you can do right on campus! During my freshman year, I saw incredible people like Kevin Spacey, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Justice Sonia Sotomayor speak about their work and incredible life experiences (and even took a selfie with a visiting Senator!). From a treasure trove of student organizations to deeply rewarding service opportunities, there\'s truly something for everyone on the Hilltop. ACTIVITIES: GAAP, Hilltop Microfinance Initiative, Georgetown University College Democrats, Philodemic Society, GU Pride Hello to all of the prospective Coloradan Hoyas! My name is Bailey Bradford and I am a freshman in the College double majoring in Government and Economics. I was born and raised in the Denver metro area, and despite my firm adoration for my home state, I am so incredibly happy that I made the leap from the mountaintop to the Hilltop. As somebody with a passion for government, I was drawn to Georgetown due to the fact that it was only minutes away from the center of our nation. The entire DC community fantastic, and I have had experiences ranging from lobbying on Capitol Hill, to shopping with friends on M Street, and taking a nighttime tour of the monuments at the National Mall. The people I have met at Georgetown are incredible. Georgetown students work hard in their classes and constantly strive to find passion and motivation in what they do. We have political debates at seemingly random times (which makes my inner political nerd very happy) and take the time to treat each other, have fun, and explore what campus and the DC community has to offer. The staff and faculty are fantastic.
